ANNOUNCEMENT – CLARIFICATION OF THE REQUIREMENT ABOUT DEMARCATION FROM OTHER CALLS, AND AMENDMENT OF THE DECLARATIONS LINKED TO THE APPLICATION FORM

We would like to inform stakeholders, Improving Energy Efficient public Schools call for proposals' (launched at 30 September, 2013) requirement about demarcation from other calls (2.4.2. II. 2.) is clarified as follows, and Annex 2.

Declarations linked to the application form has been modified. According to the requirement about demarcation from other calls (2.4.2. II. 2.) applicant can't have any proposal – with the same goals – under selection or under implementation from the moment of submission. Given the fact, proposals under calls of EEOP with the similar goals, are still under selection, applicants can't meet this requirement for the reasons beyond their control, therefore it is allowed to submit the proposals to present call without fulfilling this requirement, however in case of approval they has to decide which proposal they are going to implement.

THE APPLICATION FORM OF THE CALL FOR PROPOSAL "IMPROVING ENERGY EFFICIENT PUBLIC SCHOOLS" HAS BEEN COMPLEMENTED

Please be informed that the application form of the call for proposal "Improving Energy Efficient Public Schools" has been complemented by the following fields (in accordance with the "Guide on how to fill in the electronic application form"):

  • Short summary of the project in Hungarian
  • Short summary of the project in English

Please fill in all new required fields.

EXTENSION OF THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION

Deadline for submission of the call for proposals under Energy Efficiency programme has been modified

Based on the feedback from the applicants the deadline for submission of the call for proposal "Improving Energy Efficient Public Schools" has been extended to further 35 days.

The new deadline for submitting the electronic application form will be 15:59 on 6 January 2014. After the submission of the electronic application form, one original copy of the printable declaration should be sent via post, by registered mail at the latest by 23:59 on 6 January 2014.

Respected applicants are requested to start to prepare of the proposals no later than 5 December 2013. by registration through the online system (NORA) and filling the required fields of the application form of the proposals (which can be modified during the preparation of the proposal – before the submission).

Required fields of the application form to start to prepare a proposal:

  • Title of the project in Hungarian
  • Title of the project in English
  • Duration of the project (max. 24 months)
  • Location(s) of the project

About the modification of Energy Study and about the publication of a collection of the Frequently Asked Questions

We would like to draw stakeholders' attention, under the frame of Improving Energy Efficient public Schools call for proposals' (launched at 30 September, 2013), Annex 6. Energy Study has been modified.
Thanks to the modification Energy Study has been supplemented by the mandatory content elements of the contract to be concluded with the auditor or with the company performing the audit. Link to the modified annex (in Hungarian): link.

CALLS AIMED IMPROVING BILATERAL RELATIONS ARE LAUNCHED

We are pleased to announce that calls for proposals aimed improving Bilateral relations of the Energy Efficiency programme, (EEA Fund) has been published today on our website.

The total available amount for 'Exchange of experience for Public Schools' (HU-02-2013-B1) and'Exchange of experience for non-governmental organisations' (HU-02-2013-B2) is 2 x 66.801 EUR€, max. grant rate is 100%.

Goal of the calls is to strengthen relations in the field of energy efficiency between the beneficiary and donor countries through getting familiar with the prevailing best practices in the donor countries and the involvement of donor project partners. Applicants integrate the shared best practices their everyday operations thus improving their activities related to environmental protection, awareness of and education in energy efficiency.

In the framework of 'Exchange of experience for Public Schools' (HU-02-2013-B1) call for proposals only those institutions and organisations are allowed to submit proposals whose projects are approved under‘Improving Energy Efficient Public Schools' (HU02-2013) call for proposals (launched 30 November, 2013).

Therefore we kindly ask applicant does not submit any application until the closure of the evaluation of Improving Energy Efficient Public Schools'call for proposals, otherwise applications will be rejected.

In the framework of 'Exchange of experience for non-governmental organisations' (HU-02-2013-B2) call for proposals only those non-governmental organisations are allowed to submit proposals whose are active on the field of environmental protection, awareness of and education in energy efficiency.

Project proposals shall be compiled in Hungarian, but a summary is needed in English. The application form shall be submitted electronically by 15:59 p.m. on 30 May 2014 and following electronic submission, the printable signed declaration shall be submitted per post at the latest by23.59 p.m. on 30 May 2014.

Please note, all applications will be evaluated and selected based on their scores after the deadline for the submission of the applications at once (not ranked based on the date of their submission).

ANNOUNCEMENT – ABOUT DONOR PROJECT PARTNERSHIP

We would like to draw stakeholders' attention, under the frame of Improving Energy Efficient public Schools call for proposals (launched at 30 September, 2013), there is wide opportunity to involve Donor project partners experienced on the field of energy efficiency, if they comply with 2.3 paragraph of the call for proposals. We also kindly inform the stakeholders, during the second stage of the Energy Efficiency programme it is intended to launch two further calls for proposals at IV. IMPROVING ENERGY EFFICIENT PUBLIC SCHOOL CALL FOR PROPOSALS IS LAUNCHED

We are pleased to announce that call for proposals of the Energy Efficiency programme, (EEA Fund) has been published today on our website.

The total available amount for "Improving Energy Efficient Public Schools" is 8.708.894 €, grant rate is 85%.

Goal of the call for proposals is improving energy efficiency of school buildings in Hungary, awareness raising and capacity building on the field of energy efficiency related to the project, in cooperation with Hungarian or donor project partners.

The project promoter has to be Hungarian public school (operator, maintainer, owner, or independently managed public school).

The call for proposal is available in English language here, the Annexes are available only in Hungarian here (call for proposals available also in Hungarian language through this link).

Project proposals shall be compiled in Hungarian, but a summary is needed in English.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROGRAMME, BENEFICIARY WORKSHOP ON 4 JULY 2013 IN BUDAPEST

On 4 July 2013, 1pm - 5 pm, a Beneficiary Workshop was held in Budapest with the purpose to discuss and conduct a consultation with the potential beneficiaries - public schools - the relevant chapters of the 'Improving Energy Efficient Public Schools' draft call for proposals, financed by EEA Grants, Energy Efficiency programme area. The target group of the workshop were primary or secondary schools managed by the state, churches, local governments or foundations.
