“Exchange of experience to facilitate knowledge transfer in effective operation of in-patient care” call for proposal is available within Public Health Programme Area. The HU12 Public Health Initiatives program of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 aims to improve the health status of the population and to reduce the burden of disease in some priority areas, with particular emphasis on mental health services.

On 10th March 2017. a new call for proposal opens within Norway Grants 2009-2014. HU12 – Public Health Initiatives program area. Purpose of this call is to establish new partnerships and to strengthen existing partnerships with domestic institutions of the donor country. Partnerships will focus on the study of efficient financing and operation of in-patient care in cooperation with actors and experts from the donor country, involved in providing health care and/or decision-making on health care. This exchange of experience will yield to a knowledge transfer facilitating the efficient use of resources for sustainable development in the Hungarian health care system.

Total fund at the publication of the call is 59 581,07 EUR / 18 589 294 Ft.

Minimum project support is determined in 1 200 000 Ft, maximum support is 9 000 000 Ft.

Exchange rate: 312 Ft/EUR.

Application documents are available in NORA system. Submission starts at 10th March 2017. Submission is continuous, the review of eligibility and administrative criteria, as well as the evaluation will be carried out in order of reception of applications. The evaluation will be closed when all available funds are granted to eligible but not later than 30th June 2017.

Implementation’s final deadline is 31st October 2017.

“Exchange of experience related to and best practices and measures to reduce health inequalities” call for proposal is available within Public Health Programme Area. The HU12 Public Health Initiatives program of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 aims to improve the health status of the population and to reduce the burden of disease in some priority areas, with particular emphasis on mental health services.

On 10th March 2017. a new call for proposal opens within Norway Grants 2009-2014. HU12 – Public Health Initiatives program area. Purpose of this call for proposal is to transfer knowledge, to exchange best practices that can be implemented to reduce health inequalities. Specific objective is the transfer of methodology, or elaboration of policy recommendations yielding to the increase of taking public health aspects into account in sectoral and local decision-making processes. Furthermore, the aforementioned decision-making mechanisms keep public health in focus in daily operation.

Total fund at the publication of the call is 59 581,07 EUR / 18 589 294 Ft.

25,5 million Forint grant amount is still available within Cultural Heritage Programme Area’s Enhancing Bilateral Activities Call

“Enhancing Bilateral Activities on Project Level” call for proposal is available since 20th February within Conservation and Revitalisation of Cultural Heritage and Natural Heritage and Promotion of Diversity in Culture and Arts within European Cultural Heritage. All Project Promoters of granted projects already implemented or under implementation of the HU07 programme area are eligible to apply for these funds for additional bilateral activities.

Total fund at the publication of the call is 81 917.4 EUR / 25 558 228 Ft. Since the opening of the call three applications has been submitted via the NORA system. In case of positive evaluation and support of the projects, 18 101 198 Ft grant amount will be still available.

The objective is that the granted project promoters carry out additional activities related to existing projects that reinforce the bilateral ties and networks, by professional workshops, conferences, study tours, innovative cultural programmes and activities.

Minimum project support is determined in 2 000.0 EUR / 624 000 Ft, maximum support is 8 000.0 EUR / 2 496 000 Ft.

Exchange rate: 312 Ft/EUR.

Hungarian municipalities and Norwegian organisations are able to register to Capacity Building Bilateral Matchmaking Event until 10th March

Submission of applications for „Bilateral activities in the Capacity Building and Institutional Cooperation Programme Area” Call is starting on 27th March 2017. Programme Operator supports eligible municipalities of less than 30 000 population cities with a Project Partner Finder event.

The overall objective of the programme is reaching enhanced institutional capacity and human resource development in public institutions, local and regional authorities in Hungary through cooperation and transfer of knowledge and experience with similar institutions and authorities in Norway.

Eligible applicants should be municipalities with a population below 30 000 people. As donor project partners, public sector institutions and non-profit organisations registered in Norway are welcome. Detailed Call for proposal and required annexes are available on the programme area subpage of EEA and Norway Grants’ Hungarian website.

Supporting the Call for “Bilateral activities in the Capacity Building and Institutional Cooperation Programme Area” the Programme Operator organise a Matchmaking Event on 20-21. March 2017, in Visegrád with an extended reistration deadline due to 10th March. Participation on the event do not imply commitment as donor project partner. Participation fees are covered by the Programme Operator.

Call for proposal for supported projects of “Preservation of urban built heritage” and “Preservation of rural cultural and natural heritage” sub-programmes

Aim of the Call is to support additional project activities contributing to the goals of Conservation and Revitalisation of Cultural and Natural Heritage Programme area.

New Call for Proposal is opening within EEA Grants “Preservation of urban built heritage” (code: HU07PA16-A1-2013) and “Preservation of rural cultural and natural heritage” (code: HU07PA16-A2-2013) sub-programmes.

Eligible additional activities should contribute to project goals as well as Conservation and Revitalisation of Cultural and Natural Heritage Programme’s overall objectives. Another eligibility term is to increase at least one of the predefined project indicators undertaken in grant contracts of the above mentioned sub-programmes.

Total grant amount available for additional activities: 988 256,42 EUR (308.336.003 Ft)

New bilateral call for proposal expected in February in Green Industry Innovation Programme

Eligible applicants should be already supported project promoters of the Programme Area and their project partners.

The EEA and Norway Grants are financial mechanisms established by Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. The overall objectives of the Grants are reduction of economic and social disparities in the European Economic Area and strengthening bilateral relations between the Donor States and the beneficiary states, including Hungary. Bilateral relations are emphasized during the year 2017 as the results of the supported projects and their further development possibilities are already visible.

Szent István University as Programme Operator of Green Industry Innovation Programme is publishing a call for proposal to support the forming of new bilateral relations and to strengthen existing connections with Norwegian organizations.

Activities eligible for support may include professional meetings with Norwegian organizations, participation in conferences, study visits, publicity activities, joint studies, surveys and the cooperative development of project ideas.

Eligible applicants should be already supported project promoters of the Programme Area and their project partners.

Expected time of publishing: February of 2017.

New calls for proposals are expected after the Programme Committee Meeting

Researches focusing on the 'Environment' and 'Health' will be supported in the framework of the Bilateral Research Cooperation between Hungary and Norway. Based on preliminary information, the below mentioned research topics were proposed by the programme planning working group.

Under the thematic area 'Environment' the following research topics were emphasized: environmental protection oriented research of natural resources, products and services; research in pollution prevention and management; research on the impact of forestry and agricultural technologies on environment and food safety.

Research topics under the thematic area 'Health' the personalized medicine in non-contagious diseases; innovative methodologies in public health and health systems research; biomedical research including nano/- and biotechnology; research in healthy food production were in focal point.

Research on social exclusion, inclusion and social integration of disadvantaged groups; economic and political development and governance issues; culture, tradition and identity, knowledge based society; ageing population, impacts of ageing on health and social systems, the economy were arisen among research topics under the thematic area 'Social Sciences and Humanities'.

Research into the barriers to gender equality; social and cultural construction of gender in Hungary and Norway were suggested as gender related research topics.
