CALL FOR PROPOSALS UNDER THE RENEWABLE ENERGY PROGRAMME AREA FOR PROJECT SCHEME “GRANT FOR SUPPORTING PARTICIPATION IN COURSES ON THE UTILIZATION OF RENEWABLE ENERGY SOLUTIONS: SUB-PROGRAMME 1: SUPPORTING PARTICIPATION IN MSC, MA COURSE; SUB-PROGRAMME 2: SUPPORTING PARTICIPATION IN SHORT COURSE” HAS BEEN PUBLISHED.

We are happy to inform the honoured Applicants that the Call for Proposals under the Renewable Energy Programme Area for Project Scheme “Grant for Supporting Participation in Courses on the Utilization on Renewable Energy Solutions” has been launched.

The aim of the Call for Proposals under the Renewable Energy Programme Area is to train citizens, broaden their knowledge specifically in the field of utilization of renewable energy solutions. The target group of the Call for Proposals is state-owned or indirectly state-owned institutions, background institutes, business enterprises, research institutes, higher education institutions dealing with renewable energy. The ultimate beneficiary of the project (the person taking part in the course, workshop, and conference) is a higher education teacher, a student studying for a PhD or a Master’s Degree, a person working in higher education, a researcher or people employed by or in contractual relationship with non-higher education institutions from the target group.

The amount of the grant given through this call for proposals is minimum € 3.000, maximum € 30.000. The rate of grant given is 100%.

The evaluation of all the applications starts after the submission deadlines. The submission deadline is:

  • 15th of April 2014 for Sub-programme 1: Supporting Participation in MSc, MA Course;
  • periodically, but no later than 31st of October 2015 for Sub-programme 2: Supporting Participation in Short Course

We would like to inform the applicants about the modification of "Implementation of Geothermal Based District Heating Systems – Replacing Existing Fossil Fuel Based District Heating" call for proposal under the EEA Financial Mechanisms 2009-2014 Renewable Energy Programme Area. The modifications affect chapter 4. FINANCIAL CONDITIONS, paragraphs 4.2. Composition and certification of co-financing, 4.3. Obligations relating to the provision of collateral, 4.6. State aid rules.

INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR FOSSIL FUEL BASED DISTRICT HEATING SYSTEMS

THE ‘IMPLEMENTATION OF GEOTHERMAL BASED DISTRICT HEATING SYSTEMS – REPLACING EXISTING FOSSIL FUEL BASED DISTRICT HEATING' CALL FOR PROPOSAL WITHIN THE RENEWABLE ENERGY PROGRAMME AREA IS PUBLISHED

We are pleased to announce that the call for proposals of the ‘Implementation of Geothermal Based District Heating Systems – Replacing Existing Fossil Fuel Based District Heating' within the Renewable Energy Programme Area is launched.

This Call for Proposals aims to improve the share of renewable energy through the increased geothermal energy production and contributing to a reduction in CO2 emissions, as well as incorporating awareness-raising. The direct target group of the call is those Hungarian settlements where district heating networks are already in place.

The minimum amount of grant assistance is 600.000 Euro (170.040.000 HUF).

The maximum amount is 3.300.000 Euro (935.220.000 HUF). Submitted applications will be assessed at the same time, following the submission deadline (7th April 2014).

Public Consultation - Renewable Energy Programme

The public consultation of the calls for proposals for the Renewable Energy Programme have commenced. The draft calls can be found on the following link.

A LAUNCHING AND BILATERAL MATCHMAKING EVENT IS GOING TO BE CARRIED OUT ON 2ND DECEMBER 2013

A launching and bilateral matchmaking event is going to be carried out on 2nd December 2013 to open the Renewable Energy Programme Area of the EEA Grant 2009-2014 in Hungary and to introduce the main objectives of the Programme Area for the public.
Having regard to the fact that one of the priority objectives of EEA Grant is to strengthen bilateral relations, this event is planned to provide networking possibilities for the potential Hungarian project promoters and Donor States' (the Republic of Iceland, the Principality of Liechtenstein and the Kingdom of Norway) potential project partners as well.

There is no registration fee for the conference but, you have to register in order to reserve your place. Donor participants may apply for reimbursement of participation. The reimbursement is 2000 EUR per person, as a lump sum. The lump sum is intended to cover all costs of the participant, including travel, accommodation and per diem. Maximum two people are eligible for reimbursement from a company/institution. Following registration for reimbursement, the Programme Operator will notify the participant if the application for reimbursement is approved. The available maximum budget is 40 000 EUR, therefore maximum 20 persons will be eligible for reimbursement. Reimbursement application will be available in the order of application. If more than 20 people apply for reimbursement only the first 20 will be eligible for reimbursement. A Payment Claim has to be submitted to the Implementing Agency following the event. The participant has to fill in the evaluation sheet about the event. The Implementing Agency approves the Payment Claim submitted by the participant and the Programme Operator on the basis of the evaulation sheets issues the Grant Declaration, which will be forwarded to the National Focal Point. The reimbursement will be transferred by the National Focal Point to the participant after the Programme Operator receives the required budget from EEA Grant according to the Programme Implementation Agreement and the Fund for bilateral relations at programme level.

THE RENEWABLE ENERGY PROGRAMME DOCUMENT WITHIN THE EEA GRANTS 2009-2014 HAS BEEN APPROVED

The Financial Mechanism Committee consisting of the representatives of the donor states (Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein) approved the programme document of the Renewable Energy programme area on 24th May 2013.

Aim of the programme operated by NKEK National Environmental Protection and Energy Center Non-profit Ltd, as Programme Operator, is to increase the use of renewable energy sources within the final energy consumption. The programme will contribute with ca. 2.1 billion HUF to reach this goal.
