The primary goal of the project is to renovate the end station building of the former horse tram observing the heritage protection rules, and to expand it with new features and content. Thus, the building serves as a home for the Local History Collection of the Hegyvidék District as well as as an event center and a catering industrial facility. The old idea could have been achieved that the end station built in 1885 should get rid of attachments built over the decades and should await visitors in their original state.

To this end, in the framework of the project, the heritage-protected part of the building has been renewed while at the same time landscaping, a modern part of the building, modern cooling / heating technology and other building elements have been implemented with the involvment of other resources in order to create a complex community space beyond the exhibitions of the Local History Collection.

During the implementation we took into consideration the demands of many different areas, so the preservation and reconstruction of the unique wooden roof structure could be renewed not only considering the recommendations of domestic experts but also taking into account the donor partner's views. The opinion of the population haven't only been requested in the planning phase but also during the development of the new cultural space's image, and all the functions of the building are barrier-free. With the help of the project it has become possible to create a modern exhibition space, in which touch-screen contents and tours with audioguide can be realized, and some parts of the exhibition are also accessible in Hungarian Sign Language (HSL).

During the implementation of the project István Türr Museum of Baja town has renovated and reconstructed the first level of its building at Deák Ferenc street No. 1., which is under the protection of National Historic Monuments and is located in the very centre of the multi-national and multi-cultural settlement. The building is also the harmonious element of the town’s main square; therefore, its conservation serves the maintenance of the architectural integrity of the historic city centre. The main purpose of the project is to ensure the preservation and sustainable use of this built cultural heritage, also to promote social inclusion via enhancing access to new cultural and community services and to the cultural heritage kept in the museum which is functioning also as a regional cultural institute for minorities. The results involve the increase of the exhibition area from 30% to 60%. During the implementation, the store rooms have been converted into museum workshops and spectacular open exhibition stores on local history, arts, ethnography and textiles. Three info points with access to digitalized heritage have been installed and close to 700 more artefacts have been restored. The total surface of the project area is 600 m2. The Project Promoter cooperating with several minority local partners (Roma, Croatian, German and Serbian) has worked out 9 different, regular museum programmes, teaching material and launched regular events for the target groups of 3-23 ages. Our project titled “Treasury of cultural heritage’ exhibits close to 60% of the 79-year-old public collection kept in the museum now, instead of the previous 20%. The cultural heritage of Treasury Bacska has become real public domain.

The street facades of the corner building were also renovated, taking into account heritage protection considerations and regulations. The Art Nouveau House offers to the local artists an opportunity to present their works, and provides a home to literary, musical and other events. The project improves the conditions regarding the operation of many local civil organizations, associations, friends and institutions, providing a suitable location for their operations, and also expanding the city's tourist attractions. An accessible community space was developed, and thanks to this, the accessibility of certain disadvantaged groups (primarily handicapped) significantly improved. The Synagogue situated at 32 Bajcsy Zsilinszky Street in Balatonfüred currently does not perform its originally intended function, a restaurant is operated in one part of it. Within the frame of this project not only the renewal of the neglected building would take place, but quite new functions would also be given room. On the one hand we are planning to create a permanent and a changing exhibition, on the other hand the building would also be given back its sacral function. Within the permanent part the Nobel laureates of Jewish origin and those scholars who do not live today but determine our life today would be given room. We would not put sad remembrance of the past into the centre, but primarily we would present the connection between Jewishness and everyday life through positive examples. In the changing part of the exhibition scientific and technical novelties would be given room. Our experience is that the coming generation can only imagine their everydays only in the world of the computers. The only way for addressing them is if an exhibition can integrate a modern interactive toolbar. The combination of light-sound technology gives an innovative and special nature besides interactivity and makes the exhibition complex, namely it makes a multi-angle reception possible to the visitors. On the basis of foreign examples the exhibition without interactivity, informatics, high-tech systems has already lost its popularity. In this country more and more museums have interactive tools, as well, but this technical solution is still in child's shoes. According to my experience so far the Petőfi Literary Museum is the most ahead of its time not only from the point of view of the differentiation of tools but the formation and ingenuity of content. With this interactive exhibition we aspire for giving experience to all age-groups from the early childhood to old-age not only via the interactive tools but helping lifelong learning through a creative maquette, a drawing and game corner (museum pedagogical corner). We call attention to the importance of knowledge, values and the value of life, those spiritual and factual creations and values, which have advanced, enhanced certain communities and the world, as well. The Nobel prize holder scholars, architects, representatives of arts, whose life-work can be an example for everybody, represent these. The life-work of those people influences our life today, as well. On constructing the exhibition we therefore would build in such tools as the touch-screen computer, sound board, interactive projectors, tables and a museum pedagogical corner with games, computers and printers. The interactive surfaces bring closer the material to be presented successfully, we can talk to the audience speaking Hungarian, German, English and Hebrew directly with the aid of the sound points, the "paging machine" makes the documents, books virtually pageable. There will be a thematic exhibition space on the upper floor, where the scientific and technical culture of the Jewishness will be presented with interactive techniques. In the lower (cellar) space we form a multi-target museum pedagogy room hosting a class room (30 people). It will serve as the place for creative games, projections connected to the content of the exhibition. The cultural function would make the occasional use of the space for religious service possible. The installation referring to the former church arrangement would remind of the sacral function: in front of the corridor from the ante a Torah cabinet placed as a glass cabinet would signal the former synagogal function. We dissolve the semantic confusion in a way that we form the Torah glass cabinet as a windscreen like item of furniture, thus as an exhibition installation, but still part of the wall. With this solution we also form an acoustic sluice between the former church space and the new ante. The exhibition is open in front of everybody and fits well into the cultural diversity of Balatonfüred.

The Municipality of Dunaföldvár town intends to make built cultural heritage become commonly available for the whole society, and to make socially disadvantaged groups access these cultural goods with equal opportunities, and also to improve and broaden the supply of local cultural and social services according to needs.

Within the scope of the project, the Project Promoter has authentically restored the farmhouse of deteriorated condition; renovated, extended and converted the outbuilding into activity hall at No. 19 Attila Street, which has strong relation to the traditional, local rural life style of the 19th century. The building complex and the surroundings are under the protection of the local historic monuments. The forecourt, the rear garden and the court which are devastated and completely neglected have also been restored in a traditional way (planting herbs and fruit trees) by common, voluntary effort of the locals. The project activities also involved restoration and cleaning of the furnishing of the house. By the implementation of the project the whole complex has converted into an enjoyable traditional country farmstead with green environment and an exhibition area for local ethnography and history. The current homestead has a permanent exhibition featuring everyday items and traditional clothing. There is also a separate space dedicated to hold handcrafting and ethnographic workshops for children or smaller adult groups.

The former stables of the legendary Hungarian race horse, Kincsem, is being revived in Göd as a community and cultural center.

Prior to the completion of the Budapest-Vác railway line, this building housed a horse station and tavern, and already served as a stable during the second half of the 19th century. It was home to the world famous miracle mare during the best years of her career. During the past decades, this locally protected building stood vacant, until the town of Göd had the opportunity to renew this property due to a subsidy received within the “EEA Financial Mechanism 2009 to 2014, Preservation and Renewal of Cultural and Natural Heritage” program.

As a result of this grand investment, a complex has been created which provides cultural and community functions, which can be one of the facilities laying the foundation for attracting tourists to this region.

A memorial site will be established in the renewed building that will commemorate the career of the miracle mare, in addition to an exhibition hall housing permanent and periodic exhibitions, one hall dedicated to ancient crafts, as well as a bicycle point serving tourists arriving by bicycles, and a café.

During the renewal of this deservingly reborn property, the original facade was reconstructed, and a multipurpose hall was also constructed that can be used for presentations, screenings, musical and dance programs.

The multifunctional implementation of this approximately 250 year old building meets today’s expectations. This way, the former stable has become suitable for receiving the most varied types of events.

This deservingly renewed building now deserves to once again become an important memorial of Hungarian equestrian culture and a venue for local community events.
