Project subpage

Through this project we had the possibiblity to save and preserve a historical value that probably would have gone half way to death and decay without the restauration and development. The created professional content, the expertly renovated Peasants House and the newly vital Barn Theatre now provides place to the expertly restaured objects that were the carity collection of the people of Nagydobsza. The number of the tools and furniture that were originally planned for exhibition got tripled thanks to the chartity. So besides the original goals of the project we could also achieve salvage. The exhibited tools and authentical folk costume installations gave back a value to Nagydobsza that were in the last minute to save. The degree of social acception of the project is proved by the fact that besides the professional support local people took an active part in the completion of the product.

Dr Bertalan Andrásfalvy famous ethnographer offered his yet unpublished manuscripts of the village, and also contributed to publish them in the book of the local history.

We planted all the fruit trees that involve the collection of the local breeds. We also formed a petting zoo, which can provide a good opportunity to show the agricultural heritage of the village and the region.

The event at the end of the project took place on 30 April 2017.
