The main goal of the project is to get insight of the playgroup of Peacepainting. They are capable of giving us such knowledge and good practices with which we would be able to develop the playgroup activity of ours (Nyitott Szemmel Egyesület). They will advice us both in the training and the performances, and teaching us group exercises (e.g. improvisation, character training). We will also discuss topics such as how to involve more children, promotion, communication, etc., and the possibility of future co-operations. Representing our culture in the field of theatricals is an integral part of the project too. Both parties will demonstrate the national, traditional specialities of their activity (eg. folktales, folk music, traditional costumes) in order to let us taste the folklore and way of thinking of a foreign community.
The participants will consist of the chairman of the Association who is responsible for the management, logistics, and also a significant character in the playgroup, a volunteer who currently is the leader of the playgroup. The remaining 3 places will be advertised through the connections of our associations, in the playgroups of Kecskemét and on the webpage of the association.
We will travel to Terråk from Kecskemét in order to meet and learn from the representatives of Peacepainting. Along the project we will introduce ourselves to each other with the help of non-formal and informal activities, and we will discuss EEA and Norway Grants and our possibilities with the programme. We will also observing the organisation, their facilities and methods, thus we can take part in a professional workshop with an experienced performer. We will debrief the gained experiences, and the activity will end in planning a common project. As the culmination of the project playgroups will deliver a performance to each other.
