Overall objectives of the initiative is to increase the extent of cooperation between Norwegian and Hungarian local governments and its leaders, experts and staff, through continuation of already existing Partnership and capacity-building programs between the national associations of both countries, namely between KS and TÖOSZ. The bilateral cooperation contributes to the collaboration between the partners through sharing experiences, knowledge, know-how and working together for joint results such as the development of strategies, new knowledge and practice. The aim of the initiative is exchanging know-how, learning about best practices, well operating models, by visiting joint event, and study tour. The project includes two main activities: a study trip to Norway with 10 participants and a final workshop in Budapest.
The title of this project “Study visit to Norway for better gender equality” reflects the bilateral and the professional aims of the project.
The study trip will be held in November 2017 in Bergen. The final program will be fixed after the decisions on support of this project. The participants will have the opportunity to consult on the program content too. The participants will be Mayors and elected representatives, officials from Hungarian local government. The need to apply for participation to the Project Promoter. The project aims to raise the awareness in gender equality, work-life balance; work together, think together and have a project idea or concept, or an action at the end of the workshop for each participating municipality.
We communicate on the project results through the websites of the Partners and a press conference during the workshop in Budapest. We will send e-newsletters to Hungarian local governments and we publish articles in proffessional newspaper.
