Don't heat and feed climate

The general purpose of the project, beside strengthening the cooperation between Hungarian and Icelandic organizations, is to exchange local experience about fight against climate change. We would implement four types of actions within the project. In order to improve the relationship between Hungarian and Icelandic organizations, our actions target a wide range of groups: students, professionals, inhabitants. The action to be implemented involve 14 Hungarian,20 Icelandic professional participants.
The project actions

1. Organizing workshops(IS,2pcs)
   1. Workshop related to the experience of Sigillum University of Iceland about the technology of geothermal energy
   2. Workshop, meeting the Icelandic-Hungarian Cultural Association, exchanging experience about local selective waste collectio
2. Awareness-raising actions(5pcs)
   1. Art competition for Hungarian and Icelandic children(Hu,Is)
      Organizing exhibition entitled “What I did for my environment this summer”(Reykjavík Harpa)
   2. Creating and operating a common (Hu-Is) website
      For the Icelandic-Hungarian Cultural Association and Besenyszögért Foundation
   3. Press Conference about the photo exhibition in the County Library of Szolnok(Hu)
      In order to provide the publicity a press conference is hold, after publishing a press release.
   4. Workshop at the Campus of Szolnok-Project’s introduction
   5. Project closing event in Besenyszög Vehiculum House
3. Common actions-Study journeys(3pcs)
   1. Hveragerði Geothermal Park
   2. Svartsengeni Geothermal Power-station
   3. Visiting the school of Grundarfjörður Fjölbrautaskóli Snæfellinga and the Government of Town Grundarfjörður
4. Organization of other meetings(IS,1pcs)
   1. Meeting the Icelandic Chamber of Commerce in order to get new experience

The common purpose makes our foundation closer to the Icelandic organizations (IMKT,NGO,school,university,choir). Our awareness-raising actions may help to form the thinking way of country people in the fight against climate change and global warming.
